Summary:The purpose of this study is to explore how teachers' professional development can be achieved through instructional supervision. The aspects studied include identifying the approach used by the supervisor and to know the activities of supervision that led to the development of professionalism among the PTV teachers. Researcher are also exploring the techniques given by the supervisor to develop a level of professionalism among the PTV teachers. Unit analysis of this study are technical and vocational teachers who have had direct experience through the instructional supervisory process. This study was conducted as a qualitative research and involving four PTV teachers from vocational college around Johor Bahru. The results showed supervision is a process that helps to improve the teaching practices of PTV teachers. Through this process, PTV teachers will know their strengths and weaknesses in the implementation of teaching. In addition, this process also allows PTV teachers make problem solving, guided to design and improve the teaching and further explore the specific context of teaching.
