Summary: | This paper examines the usage of information technology (IT) on human resource management, particularly the utilization of human resource information system (HRIS) in managing business. It outlines how the changing technology
has influence the human resource management functions such as planning, recruitment and selection, performance appraisal, training and development, compensation
and benefits, and safety and health. Pertaining to that, information technology has changed the structure and system of the organization indirectly, therefore organizations will have to adapt to the changes in order to remain
competitive. This paper will focus on the application of human resource information system in Malaysian companies.
